Bitterroot National Forest
Bitterroot National Forest spans more than 1.6 million acres along the Montana–Idaho border, encompassing rugged peaks, deep river valleys, and vast wilderness landscapes. Named for Montana’s state flower, the forest includes portions of both the Selway–Bitterroot and Frank Church–River of No Return Wilderness areas, creating one of the largest connected wilderness complexes in the lower 48 states. Its extensive trail network, abundant wildlife, and spectacular mountain scenery make it a premier destination for hiking, backpacking, fishing, and outdoor recreation.
This vintage-inspired Bitterroot National Forest print celebrates the untamed beauty of the Northern Rockies and the wild landscapes that define the Bitterroot Range. Created in the spirit of classic WPA-era artwork, it captures the forest’s rugged mountains, remote backcountry, and enduring sense of adventure. A perfect piece for hikers, backpackers, anglers, and anyone who appreciates the vast wilderness of the American West.
