Black Hills National Forest
Black Hills National Forest spans more than 1.2 million acres across western South Dakota and northeastern Wyoming, protecting rugged granite peaks, ponderosa pine forests, and scenic canyons. Established in 1897, the forest surrounds many of the region's most iconic landmarks, including nearby Devils Tower National Monument, and provides habitat for elk, bison, mountain goats, and numerous bird species. Visitors can explore hundreds of miles of trails, scenic byways, historic mining communities, and landscapes that have long held cultural significance for Indigenous peoples.
This vintage-inspired Black Hills National Forest print celebrates the rugged beauty of the Black Hills through the bold design language of classic WPA-era travel posters. Towering pine forests, granite formations, and the distinctive silhouette of Devils Tower are rendered in a timeless style that captures the character of this remarkable landscape. Created for hikers, campers, wildlife enthusiasts, and collectors of America's public lands, this piece honors one of the nation's most historic and geographically distinctive forest regions.
