Carrizo Plain National Monument
Carrizo Plain National Monument protects one of California’s largest remaining native grasslands, stretching between the Temblor and Caliente mountain ranges west of the San Joaquin Valley. Often described as one of the last great undeveloped landscapes in the state, the monument is home to sweeping open vistas, seasonal wildflower displays, and important habitat for species such as the tule elk, pronghorn, and San Joaquin kit fox. It also contains a prominent section of the San Andreas Fault, offering a rare opportunity to observe the forces that continue to shape California’s landscape.
This vintage-inspired Carrizo Plain National Monument print celebrates the vast grasslands, colorful wildflower blooms, and rugged beauty of California’s interior. Created in the spirit of classic WPA-era artwork, it captures the character of this remarkable landscape and its enduring connection to the state's natural heritage. A perfect piece for hikers, wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone who appreciates California’s wild and open spaces.
