Cumberland Head Lighthouse
Cumberland Head Lighthouse stands on the western shore of Lake Champlain near Plattsburgh, New York. Completed in 1934, the lighthouse was built to guide vessels navigating the broad waters of the lake along the New York–Vermont border. The current stone tower replaced an earlier lighthouse and reflects a Colonial Revival architectural style uncommon among American navigational aids. Overlooking one of the nation's largest freshwater lakes, the lighthouse remains an important landmark in the history of transportation and commerce on Lake Champlain.
This vintage-inspired Cumberland Head Lighthouse print celebrates one of the most distinctive lighthouses on Lake Champlain. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's elegant stone architecture, lakeside setting, and scenic Adirondack backdrop. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, maritime historians, Adirondack travelers, and collectors of American landmarks, this piece captures the enduring character of a beacon that has watched over the waters of Lake Champlain for generations.
