Gay Head Lighthouse stands atop the colorful clay cliffs of Aquinnah on the western end of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. First lit in 1799, it was among the earliest lighthouses established in the United States and has guided vessels through the waters of Vineyard Sound for more than two centuries. Perched high above one of New England's most distinctive coastal landscapes, the lighthouse overlooks dramatic cliffs, open ocean, and the ancestral homeland of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah). Today, it remains one of the most iconic landmarks on Martha's Vineyard.

This vintage-inspired Gay Head Lighthouse print celebrates one of New England's most recognizable coastal beacons. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's historic tower, striking clay cliffs, and sweeping ocean vistas. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, island travelers, maritime historians, and collectors of New England landmarks, this piece captures the unique beauty and enduring maritime heritage of a beacon that has watched over Vineyard Sound since the eighteenth century.

5% of every sale from our U.S. Lighthouses Collection is donated to organizations that support the preservation and protection of America's coastal landmarks and maritime heritage.
