Lincoln National Forest
Lincoln National Forest spans more than 1.1 million acres across southern New Mexico, encompassing the Sacramento, Guadalupe, and Capitan Mountains. Rising dramatically above the surrounding desert, the forest protects a diverse landscape of pine forests, rugged canyons, and high-elevation meadows. It is also closely associated with Smokey Bear, whose rescue from a 1950 wildfire in the Capitan Mountains helped inspire one of America’s most enduring conservation symbols.
This vintage-inspired Lincoln National Forest print celebrates the striking mountain landscapes and rich natural heritage of southern New Mexico. Created in the spirit of classic WPA-era artwork, it captures the character of the forest’s rugged peaks, forested slopes, and expansive Southwestern scenery. A perfect piece for hikers, campers, wildlife enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to the mountains of the American Southwest.
