Mount Massive
Mount Massive rises to 14,428 feet in Colorado's Sawatch Range and is the second-highest summit in the Rocky Mountains, surpassed only by nearby Mount Elbert. True to its name, the mountain features a sprawling summit ridge stretching more than three miles and includes several subsidiary peaks exceeding 14,000 feet. Located within the Mount Massive Wilderness near Leadville, the mountain overlooks a landscape of alpine lakes, glacial valleys, and high-elevation forests that support a diverse range of plant and wildlife species.
This vintage-inspired Mount Massive print celebrates one of Colorado's grandest mountain landscapes through the bold design language of classic WPA-era travel posters. Expansive ridgelines, rugged alpine terrain, and sweeping views of the Sawatch Range are rendered in a timeless style that captures the scale and prominence of this iconic summit. Created for hikers, climbers, outdoor enthusiasts, and collectors of Colorado's Fourteeners, this piece honors the wilderness, geology, and mountaineering heritage of one of the highest peaks in North America.
