Seguin Lighthouse
Seguin Lighthouse stands on Seguin Island at the mouth of the Kennebec River in the Gulf of Maine. First established in 1795, it is one of Maine's oldest lighthouse stations and has long guided vessels navigating the busy shipping routes along the state's rugged coastline. The current granite tower, completed in 1857, overlooks open ocean, rocky shores, and the approaches to Bath, one of New England's historic shipbuilding centers. Today, the lighthouse remains an enduring symbol of Maine's maritime heritage.
This vintage-inspired Seguin Lighthouse print celebrates one of Maine's most historic offshore beacons. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's granite tower, island setting, and expansive ocean views. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, maritime historians, coastal travelers, and collectors of New England landmarks, this piece captures the rugged beauty and enduring character of a beacon that has safeguarded mariners along the Maine coast for more than two centuries.
