Shinnecock Lighthouse once stood on the eastern end of Long Island near Shinnecock Inlet in Southampton, New York. Completed in 1858, the lighthouse was built to guide vessels navigating the Atlantic coast and the waters surrounding Long Island's South Shore. Rising 168 feet above sea level atop the Shinnecock Hills, it was among the tallest lighthouses in the United States during its time. The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1916 and later demolished, but it remains an important part of Long Island's maritime history and coastal heritage.

This vintage-inspired Shinnecock Lighthouse print celebrates one of New York's most significant lost lighthouses. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's commanding hilltop setting, coastal landscape, and historic role along the Atlantic seaboard. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, maritime historians, Long Island travelers, and collectors of American landmarks, this piece honors a beacon whose legacy continues to shape the maritime history of Long Island's South Shore.

5% of every sale from our U.S. Lighthouses Collection is donated to organizations that support the preservation and protection of America's coastal landmarks and maritime heritage.
