Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument protects 149 miles of the Missouri River and more than 375,000 acres of surrounding badlands, cliffs, prairies, and rugged coulees in central Montana. The monument preserves one of the most intact stretches of the historic Missouri River corridor, where much of the landscape remains remarkably similar to what Meriwether Lewis and William Clark encountered during their expedition in the early 1800s. Towering sandstone formations, remote grasslands, and abundant wildlife combine to create one of the most scenic and historically significant landscapes on the Northern Great Plains.

This vintage-inspired landscape edition captures the history, beauty, and sense of exploration that define Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument. Designed in a modern WPA-inspired style, each print celebrates the remarkable landscapes that continue to inspire paddlers, photographers, historians, and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the American West. Whether you've floated the Missouri River, explored the monument’s remote backcountry, or simply admire the enduring legacy of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, this piece honors one of Montana’s most extraordinary protected landscapes.

Every purchase helps give back to the places that inspire this collection. Massif Foundry donates 5% of every sale from this print to organizations dedicated to preserving and protecting America's public lands, wildlife habitats, cultural resources, and natural landscapes for future generations.
