About This Print

Wompatuck State Park

Wompatuck State Park protects more than 3,500 acres of forests, wetlands, ponds, and scenic trails across the South Shore of Massachusetts, offering one of the region's largest and most diverse outdoor recreation areas. Named after Chief Josiah Wompatuck of the Massachusett people, the park blends natural beauty with a unique historical legacy as the former site of the Hingham Naval Ammunition Depot. Today, miles of hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing trails wind through mature woodlands, quiet waterways, and remnants of the park's military past, including historic bunkers and storage igloos that have been reclaimed by nature. Its combination of rich history and expansive natural landscapes has made Wompatuck State Park a favorite destination for outdoor enthusiasts throughout the South Shore.

This vintage-inspired landscape edition captures the peaceful beauty and historic character that define Wompatuck State Park. Designed in a modern WPA-inspired style, each print celebrates the forested trails, tranquil ponds, and timeless landscapes that continue to inspire hikers, cyclists, runners, and nature lovers throughout New England. Whether you've explored its extensive trail network, discovered the remnants of its military history, or simply enjoyed the quiet solitude beneath its towering pines, this piece honors one of Massachusetts' most treasured state parks.
