About This Print

Cape Poge Lighthouse stands on the northeastern shore of Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts, overlooking Cape Poge Bay and the waters of Nantucket Sound. First established in 1801, the lighthouse was built to guide vessels navigating the shallow shoals and shifting sandbars surrounding Martha's Vineyard. Relocated several times due to erosion and changing shoreline conditions, the current tower reflects the dynamic coastal environment that has shaped the region for centuries. Today, it remains a cherished landmark within the Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge.

This vintage-inspired Cape Poge Lighthouse print celebrates one of Martha's Vineyard's most historic coastal beacons. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's elegant white tower, sandy shoreline, and remote island setting. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, coastal travelers, wildlife refuge visitors, and collectors of New England landmarks, this piece captures the enduring character of a beacon that has guided mariners through the waters of Nantucket Sound for more than two centuries.
