Castle Craig
Castle Craig stands atop East Peak in Meriden, Connecticut, at an elevation of 976 feet (297 meters) within Hubbard Park. Constructed in 1900 and named for local philanthropist Walter Hubbard’s Scottish ancestral castle, the stone observation tower offers expansive views across central Connecticut, Long Island Sound, and, on exceptionally clear days, portions of neighboring states. For more than a century, Castle Craig has served as one of Connecticut’s most recognizable landmarks and scenic overlooks.
This vintage-inspired landscape edition captures the historic character and commanding presence of Castle Craig. Designed in a modern WPA-inspired style, each print celebrates the remarkable landmarks and landscapes that continue to inspire visitors throughout New England. Whether you've climbed the tower after hiking the ridgelines of Hubbard Park, driven the winding road to East Peak, or simply admire Connecticut’s rich history and natural beauty, this piece honors one of the state’s most distinctive destinations.
