Charleston Lighthouse
Charleston Lighthouse, officially known as Charleston Light, stands on Sullivan's Island at the entrance to Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. Completed in 1962, it was the last major lighthouse constructed in the United States. The distinctive triangular tower replaced the historic Morris Island Lighthouse as the primary navigational aid for vessels entering one of the nation's oldest and most important ports. Rising 163 feet above the shoreline, the modern structure overlooks Charleston Harbor, the Atlantic Ocean, and the waterways that have supported maritime commerce in the region for centuries.
This vintage-inspired Charleston Lighthouse print celebrates one of America's most unique modern lighthouses. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's striking triangular design, coastal setting, and prominent position overlooking Charleston Harbor. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, maritime historians, coastal travelers, and collectors of American landmarks, this piece captures the distinctive character of a beacon that continues to guide mariners along South Carolina's coast.
