About This Print

Chatham Lighthouse stands on the southeastern shore of Cape Cod in Chatham, Massachusetts, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the shifting shoals that have long challenged mariners off the Massachusetts coast. Established in 1808, the current lighthouse tower dates to 1877 and continues to serve as an active aid to navigation. Positioned near the "elbow" of Cape Cod, the lighthouse has guided fishing vessels, merchant ships, and recreational boaters through one of New England's most dynamic coastal environments. Today, it remains one of the most recognizable landmarks on Cape Cod.
