About This Print

Glass Beach is one of California’s most unusual coastal destinations, located within MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg on the rugged Mendocino Coast. During the early twentieth century, the area served as a local dumping site where glass, ceramics, and other refuse accumulated along the shoreline. Over decades, the relentless action of Pacific waves transformed the discarded glass into millions of smooth, colorful sea-glass pebbles, creating a landscape unlike any other on the West Coast. Today, Glass Beach stands as a remarkable example of natural reclamation and one of Northern California’s most distinctive coastal landmarks.

This vintage-inspired landscape edition captures the beauty and unique character that define Glass Beach. Designed in a modern WPA-inspired style, each print celebrates the remarkable landscapes that continue to inspire travelers, photographers, artists, and nature lovers throughout Northern California. Whether you've wandered the colorful shoreline, explored the dramatic Mendocino Coast, or simply admire the fascinating intersection of history and nature, this piece honors one of California’s most extraordinary coastal destinations.

Every purchase helps give back to the places that inspire this collection. Massif Foundry donates 5% of every sale from this print to organizations dedicated to preserving and protecting Northern California's coastlines, parks, and public lands for future generations.
