Great Point Lighthouse
Great Point Lighthouse stands at the northern tip of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, overlooking the confluence of Nantucket Sound, Cape Cod Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean. First established in 1784, the lighthouse was built to guide vessels through the hazardous shoals that surround the island and have challenged mariners for centuries. The current tower, completed in 1986 following the destruction of earlier structures, occupies one of the most remote and scenic locations on Nantucket. Surrounded by beaches, dunes, and open ocean, it remains an enduring symbol of the island's maritime heritage.
This vintage-inspired Great Point Lighthouse print celebrates one of New England's most iconic coastal beacons. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's solitary tower, expansive shoreline, and dramatic ocean setting. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, Nantucket travelers, maritime historians, and collectors of New England landmarks, this piece captures the rugged beauty and enduring character of a beacon that has safeguarded mariners off Nantucket for more than two centuries.
