Haig Point Lighthouse
Haig Point Lighthouse stands on the western shore of Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, overlooking Calibogue Sound between Hilton Head Island and the mainland. Completed in 1873, the lighthouse was built as part of a private estate and served as an important navigational aid for vessels traveling the region's tidal waterways. Unlike many traditional lighthouse stations, the structure was incorporated into a residence, creating a distinctive blend of maritime function and coastal architecture. Today, it remains one of the few surviving historic lighthouses in South Carolina and a notable landmark of the Lowcountry.
This vintage-inspired Haig Point Lighthouse print celebrates one of the South Carolina coast's most unique maritime landmarks. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's historic tower, waterfront setting, and relaxed Lowcountry character. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, maritime historians, coastal travelers, and collectors of American landmarks, this piece captures the enduring charm of a beacon that has watched over the waters of Calibogue Sound for more than 150 years.
