About This Print

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse stands on a dramatic rocky promontory overlooking the Gulf of Maine in Bristol, Maine. First lit in 1827, the lighthouse was commissioned during the presidency of John Quincy Adams to guide vessels navigating the rugged and often hazardous coastline of Midcoast Maine. The current tower, completed in 1835, rises above striking granite ledges shaped by centuries of wind and waves. Recognized as one of the most photographed lighthouses in New England, it remains a powerful symbol of Maine's maritime heritage.

This vintage-inspired Pemaquid Point Lighthouse print celebrates one of New England's most iconic coastal beacons. Drawing inspiration from the bold colors and simplified forms of WPA-era travel posters, the artwork highlights the lighthouse's elegant white tower, rugged granite shoreline, and sweeping ocean vistas. Designed for lighthouse enthusiasts, maritime historians, coastal travelers, and collectors of New England landmarks, this piece captures the timeless beauty and enduring character of a beacon that has safeguarded mariners along the Maine coast for nearly two centuries.
